Murray isn't worried about anyone, let's be honest.

The guy has travelled to Germany and Argentina to fight two world champs in his biggest fights (robbed against Sturm and an either-way fight with Sergio). He'll take any fight that makes sense and he'll give anyone a difficult night. He's a big MW who won't be bullied around.

If anything he got robbed against Sergio and it was an either way fight with Sturm. I had Sturm winning that one close but clear actually.

This is a different kind of fight. I think Golovkin would probably stop him similarly to how he did Macklin. Murray is a solid fighter but not elite. He just had a perfect style to frustrate and neutralise Sergio.

Murray undoubtedly beat both Sturm and (an old single handed and single legged) Martinez... But it was not Murray's responsibility that Sergio was such a mess...

No one is mentioning that Murray is the WBA Interm Champion so there should be extra pressure for this fight to get made. He won the belt by beating 12 fight novice Jorge Navarro who had never fought an opponent with a winning record. We need to get rid of these useless extra belts.

Based on this "the approval condition was to box @gggboxing or leading available contender in his next bout" if Murray turns down the Golovkin offer its 100% duck and that bogus belt should be stripped from him. If the Champion offers him a fight Murray should not be allowed to fight the #4 ranked WBA boxer instead.

There are 2 ways I think you can beat GGG, first you either outbox him Andre Ward style but you need the technical ability to do that and the body to do that, second you HAVE to back him up because fighting GGG on the Backfoot is suicidial because he is very good at cutting off the ring.

Ward's not going to outbox GGG... Ward will smother him with his hit-n-hold style. Plus Ward is bigger than GGG and likely stronger than GGG. I'm not sure GGG power will carry up to 168.

GGG can fight off the back foot. Just making GGG back up won't necessarily mean you beat him.
