Nah, I don't hate Jermain Taylor either. I don't like him, but I don't dislike him. I thought he lost both fights to Nard and more than anything I didn't like how he was being trumpeted as the best middleweight and all of that. The only thing I remotely don't like about Taylor is his holier than thou attitude when talking about B-Hop.
Look, all I'm saying is the 2 greatest Mexican fighters in the world have gone down by knockout to this man, Manny Pacquiao. I'd say that's pretty devastating.
Go into the ring against quality opponets like Morales and Barrera have and of course you are bound to lose some after years of wars. Our Mexican pride was not "crushed" because Morales went out like a true champion.
And after the fight he didn't complain about the gloves, or hotel or anything else. Point is Mexican champions dont complain if we lose, and don't disrespect our opponent if we win.
Wow, Manny Pacquiao has destroyed 2 of arguably the greatest Mexican fighters of all time BY KNOCKOUT. He also crushed Marquez and got ripped on the decision. Do the Mexicans have an answer for this man who is single-handedly conquering their race? Me thinks no. Mexican pride = CRUSHED
see stuff like this is why people dont like Pac. Its not him its his ignorant fans.
Nobody can be #1 forever, that's the natural order of things. Morales days as the top guy is finished. He's been through a lot of wars and has fought many top fighters it was bound to catch up to him. Barrera three times, Pac twice, Chi, Chavez, the list goes on. He fought the toughest guys in his weight class (never did fight Marquez though).
Barrera will also be done pretty soon, he's 32.
It's Pac's time right now to be the top dog and there's no doubt he is, until someone knocks him off.
One day Pac will be the one who'll get knocked off by someone that has his number, that's just how it is.
Especially in boxing, no matter how good you are there is always going to be someone out there that has your number, that can beat you. It happens to the best of them in every sport.
But Mexico has a history of great fighters. Pacquiao just buried two of them who are probably in the top 5 greatest of Mexico ever. That's mind-blowing to me.
He's right and as painful as it seems, PAC buried 2 of the best p4p fighters ever and made them look like schoolkids. And when PAC was done, you won't see much of a face in his opponents.
