He does what he has to do.

Watch the Purrity fight. He fought aggressively for ten rounds, and then gassed. I was afraid it was going to happen again against Wach, but thankfully Wladimir stopped his all-out aggression and slowed down in the 9th round.

Big men need to pace themselves.

Some people are much too hard on Wladimir, they seem to look for any excuse to hate him. Their real motive is either racism or in some cases, especially British Wlad-haters, it's nationalism. The truth is he's more exciting to watch than most heavyweights because of his skills and power.

Wlad could cherry-pick people who had been KOed before for easy early KOs, like past HW champions have done. But he instead mainly fights people who have never even been knocked down before.

Jack Johnson received excessive criticism because he was black; today, Wladimir Klitschko is unfairly criticised and called "boring" despite having so many KOs because he's not black. Many people nowadays (especially Americans) want a black heavyweight champion.
Now you're being silly. If boxers were really unappreciated due to skin colour and ethnicity rather then style, why is it that PacMan is such a big hit in America? Wlad get's the Ko's, but after a few rounds of pummelling the guy with straights and the occasional hook. Those are mainly late KO's because of the accumulated build up from punches. I will say he's a great champ and a gentleman outside the ring, but he is boring inside it.

IMO what works against wlad when it comes to mainstream US fans is the perception that the real HWT champion is the baddest man on the planet. Modern HWT's like Lennox, Bowe, TYson all look that way. Holytfield too. ALi talked so much people belived it. Frazier, Foreman.

Wlad fighting that way doesn't project that. It doesn't mean he isn't great-its just the fighters that fight his way that are stars-Ali and floyd-weren't the biggest guy in the ring and had alot of personality outside of it.

But given his size, reach, and the previous problems with his chin, he fights the right way.

Wlad is a good guy, I have him in my top 25. He is rather boring but that's his choice, if that's what works for him, then heck do it. back a few years, before I had an account on here, Wlad and his bro use to get monumental hate on. Hut he's more appreciated now and will be even more with time. Although that may be because the Klitscko trolls have been banned, hence posters don't hate the boxers because of the posters. Even though he's boring, I personally think it will be a sad day when he retires. I'll stop watching if some dominant HW doesn't appear after him, f**k idiots like chambers, arreola, fury running the div!

He's tall at 6'6" but his reach isn't so long.

Wingspan: 81" (compare to Lennox 84", Liston 84", Fury 85")

Arm length: 26" (compare to Lennox 29.5", Rahman 29", Thompson 29")

And many HWs are taller: Fields, Fury, Wach, Price, Valuev, Dimitrenko, Whitaker, etc.

other fighters dimensions are, resoectfully, not relevant. IMO Steward/Banks had/have wlad fighting the right way for him. That way might not work for other fighters-especially if they have a chin tat wasn't exsposed like wlad's was.

Khan should fight the same way as wlad.

Wlad has fewer haters now than he did a few years ago, most people respect him nowadays.

But there will always be some losers who don't like him. Every successful person has haters.

If there was no Vitale he would had more competition. Having two top guys at the same time that are never going to fight each other run thru the competition pretty quick.

They both are very under appreciated

Once he lays Povetkin out he'll have beaten everyone that mattered in an entire era. Pretty crazy.

wlad's quick, has power can move.... all round good boxer..... built like a body-builder....

how can u not respect the man.... once wlad learnt to keep his chin out of harms way.... he became a dominating heavyweight.....

his greatness is defined by his ability to overcome adversity....
