That applies to SD in 50:50 fights ( and depending on the opponent involved), Broner clearly beat Malignaggi.

Also don't bring odds into the equation. Boxing is one of the few sports I'd put money on if I was a betting man because the odds are at times ludicrous. Most people bet based on hype.

I dunno, did anyone here give Paulie a chance? It was a total setup, Paulie was keeping the belt warm for whoever GBP wanted to give it to. IMO Broner beat Paulie about as wide as Cano, but didn't hurt him nowhere as bad.

Broner for the WBA, Stevenson for everything else. I like GGG, but Macklin just isn't a big win.

Cano moved up 2 weight classes and beat his ass and knocked him down the fight before.

          Where's his top honor?

neither is Paulie, if Cano can do it in better style. But no big deal, why expect better from these guys

Paulie was the WBA champion. Broner also came up two divisions to beat him. Little bit of a difference there, don't you think?

We're all too savvy here to give much significance to paper belts. Paulie was probably not top 10 at welter, Macklin was definitely top 10 at mw. Paulie is no doubt lots more skilled and all, but he's got that one tragic flaw that made him a 14-1 underdog to the LW champ. In that sense Broner well underperformed. Paulie came to outwork him, Broner came to knock him out and retire him.

You're right about giving significance to paper belts, but the WBA would and do disagree. If we're talking just accomplishment in the month of June than Stevenson should be getting the nod for starching the lineal 175 champion as an underdog. Believe me, I find the whole WBA fighter of the month thing more humorless than anything.

Broner is little by little reaching the top, Haters can't stand it, but they are in for a long ride, so start recording all you can so you can use it in the future to hate on the Can Man.......haters are welcome!
