Oh, and btw, you don't have to be from the UK to score a fight lopsided for Lewis: You have to be UK nuthugger to score the second Holyfield fight lopsided for Lewis. There's a distinction, you're just too hung up with your "UK-Uber-Alles-I-Hate-Americans" bull**** to make that distinction.Comment

Oh I dunno, aren't you an emaciated little poofter with snaggled green toofs courtesy of the NHS whilst you still live with your mum?

8-4 or 7-5 is not "lopsided". I never said it was a "lopsided" win. I would call it "close but clear". You're obviously an insecure Fat Yank who got butthurt that someone from the UK scored against one of his heroes.
FYI, I was never a huge Lewis fan when I was younger. I rooted for Tyson against him. So you jumped to conclusions because you needed something to get worked up about.Comment

You have to make up your story about me. Everything I said about you is a fact. I've seen your pictures. Your socks probably turn you down for sex

Everyone has one............!!!! I met Al when espn first started their boxing coverage at the Ice Palace (dump) in Tottawa New Jersey!! Where 4x8 sheets of plywood were thrown on the ice with huge tarps thrown on top of that, great spot for boxing (in a coolier)! I was on many of those earlier shows and some when they got to Atlantic City (Tropicana)
Al was a decent guy who wasnt sure what the hell he was doing but I thought he learned what to say and what not to and did a good job! Prior to that I don't think he had a history in boxing and doubt he knew Sugar Ray from sugar diabetes!
I can see were Lewis would be very impresive to anyone whose just beginning or hasn't yet study the form of Louis or tight discipline of Holmes.
Either way Lennox was very good, not the best by a long shot but as I said everyone has one ............!!! Ray.Comment

Actually, it was pretty decisive. Lewis beat Evander the first time 'round, but 'someone' paid off the judges.
Feedback after the fight:
Seth Abraham, president of HBO Sports: "It's disappointing. It was such a wonderful promotion and to end like this...."
Emanuel Steward, Lewis' trainer: "This is what is killing boxing."
Frank Bruno, former WBC champion: "The judges verdict was the most disgusting decision I've ever seen in boxing."
Steve Farhood, Showtime boxing analyst: "I've been covering boxing twenty years. I would put this in the top five for the worst decisions I've seen."Comment

I'm not saying Lennox didn't win either fight, I'm saying both fights were close. Frankly I could care less what people had to say about the fight after it happened. Lennox should have beaten up the old man but instead relied on being safety first. It was a decent opponent but the greatest heavyweight on the planet should have stopped that version of Holyfield.
The revisionist history in this thread is unbelievable.Comment

I haven't seen the fights in a while but I remember giving Holyfield about 5 rounds in the second match up. That's pretty close considering the 7 rounds Lennox may have won, a fair few of those were swing rounds. Anyway, if a fighters stab at being the best heavy ever relies all on whether or not he convincingly beat an old, shot Holyfield than that's a sad position to be in.
I say Spinks victory over a faded, Parkinson'd Ali was more impressive, or Foreman beating Moorer, or Marciano KO'ing a faded Louis, or Holmes squeaking past Norton in their classic encounter.
Lewis' win over Holyfield ranks pretty far down the line. I believe Lewis' win over a game Razor or Tua were far more impressive.Comment
