Neither fighter is overrated, however I do think that Matthysse has faced the better level of competition thus far.

Golovkin without a doubt. Everyone seems to be claiming that it's a foregone conclusion that he will murder Martinez. As massive as Golovkin's potential is, that idea's absurd.

The guarantee that Garcia will be destroyed by Matthysse is much more reasonable I think.

See I think it's the other way around. Matthysse-Garcia is 50-50, but Golovkin against an old Martinez?

Golovkin is also more skilled than Matthysse imo.

Definitely GGG;atleast Walter Matthyse took some serious risk and beat some solid opposition so he deserves the hype.GGG on the other hand still hasn`t beaten anyone that stands out and some of his opposition was blown up junior middleweights who wasn`t anything special at junior middleweight.

golovkin is technically superior boxer.... as far as skills goes, it's what separates them...

            golovkin was primarily a counter-puncher.... he's evolved in a front-foot fighter....

he's a lot harder to hit.... has outstanding footwork....

but has fought a lesser level of opponent.... in saying that....

matthysse division is stacked..... and there's nothing golovkin can do about that.

Not until you put a real name that is overrated like Adrien Broner.
Everyone is not jumping on Adrien Broners bandwagon, in fact alot of ppl bash him lol. I see nothing but countless threads on Matthysse or GGG(not that they don't deserve it)

Matthysse's division is no more stacked than MW. LM also can't fight half the top 10 because they're with TR.

Broner gets far more public and media acclaim relative to his ability.
