You have to give credit to Marquez. After the first fight, he kept running after Manny...while the other guy was running from him! But looks like both are headed the same way now.

      Thats wrong.

Pacquiao immediately offered him a rematch. Marquez fought chris john instead for less money and Pacquiao wasn't comfortable at his weight anymore so he moved up.

That requires both of them to sign a contract to fight first. Pac agreeing is not a newsflash, it has been known for over a year. That is why Floyd called Pac not to discuss testing, but a money split because he knew Pac agreed. They would not have discussed a money split without the requisite verbal agreement to test. Anyone mentioning the needles issue must have just come out of a deep freeze that they have been in for over a year or has not followed Boxing news at all for over a year

You should give this post a once over, you got a sorry troll applauding it just below.

Do you have a problem with this fight, or only defending JMM's choice to pass on 2x his career purse for a presumably easy fight?

Manny said "I have nothin more to prove with JMM" when he was trying to get Cotto to CW again. When that failed then he offered JMM the fight.

WHy shouldn't JMM do the exact same thing? Pursue a fight he thinks he can win and if that doesn't work then fight Manny.

How can anyone get mad at JMM doing the same thing to MAnny that manny did to him?

Funny how these pachuggers never mentioned that Pacquie wanted another Cotto CW before even considering Marquez. Pacquie then had no choice but to take Marquez but to further his chances forced Marquez all the way up to 147. Pacquie thought he would steam roll him with his size advantage but ended up being steamed rolled by his own cherry pick Pacquie really doesn't want rematch cause if he did he would have offered Marquez a good deal, but the people's champ who only fights for glory rather make Arum money then to fight for his legacy, but then again maybe Pacquie don't want and since Cotto is now on board with TR, TR now maybe building up Cotto for Pacquie's hype train.

Mannys fans here on NSB do that a lot. they leave out an important fact here or an important fact there and say "well it doesn't really matter". But when it comes to floyd they feel everything is relevant.

Because JMM was not offering him 2x his career payday. Hell Cotto probably would have made him as much or more. Duh

In any case, I understand about wanting to "preserve the memory" but then what are you doing still fighting? There will never ever be a better way to go out, unless you kinda care about the money after all.
