Is Mayweather the worst PPV star of all time?

Does anyone, aside from his hardcore fans, ever feel that the PPV they paid for was money well spent?

Think about all the brilliant fights we've had this year. That we're gonna have.

And yet, it's Mayweather who charges $75 or whatever it is to watch his ass fight the likes of Guerrero.

Did you finish a Floyd PPV by thinking.....gee, I can't wait for the next one.

I understand that it's his brilliant skills that mean his fights aren't more dramatic but goddamn, don't you get tired of the sting being taken out of the fight by round 4?

To be fair, the Canelo fight is one I am seriously looking forward too (though the more I think about it, the more I think it's gonna be Potshotsville in there)

It's just crazy to me that people actually get suckered into buying all his PPVs for such extortionate prices in what is quite clearly a cash-out tour.

    Don't you feel a bit ****** sometimes?

I'm usually getting texts off my friends telling me it's a **** fight.

If you think about it, if you really think about.....Floyd Mayweather, a defence first fighter, becoming the biggest PPV star ever is downright astonishing. Because we are in the midst of it, we can't see how amazing a feat it really is.

The fact that he keeps selling his garbage product is more a product of genius marketing than anything.

I'll keep watching it, on my monthly streaming site, comfortable in my knowledge that I didn't contribute a penny to that piece of ****.

          Keeping buying it, suckers.

And don't forget to savour that empty feeling you get after each Mayweather fight.

The only people buying Floyd fights thinking that it is going to be a FOTY candidate are idiots and you should not feel sorry for them if they did not get their moneys worth. The people who have some knowledge of the game know that 90% of the time the result will be a Floyd UD masterclass. So nobody who actually knows the game gets conned. If you buy the fight thinking it will be a life and death, toe to toe war then you are just ****** and deserve to feel like an idiot for buying the fight. The other people who feel disappointed at the end of a Floyd PPV are the people who paid to see him lose and again, you are going against the odds in that situation. However, people who actually like watching Floyd, like myself and many others, enjoy watching him win, we enjoy watching the sport displayed at the highest levels. It is the same with any other sport. I don't watch tennis to watch the number 200 and 300 ranked guys play, I watch it to watch the Federers, Nadals, Murrays, Djokovic's of the world. I don't watch Formula 2 or 3 racing, I watch Formula 1. I don't watch the npower league 2 matches, I watch the Premier League. Floyd is the best in the game and that is why I watch.

Seriously though, $75 for a PPV? I'd need Matthysse-Garcia, Mares-Rigondeaux, and Mayweather-Alvarez to even consider paying that.

Its all about the unbeaten record if he wasn't unbeaten he would not have become as big a PPv star as he is now.

As you say his actual fights aren't the best fights of the year, there's so many guys who put on better fights but these guys come to fight and get hit back in the process. Floyd is that good he hardly ever gets hit.

Floyd and ward are the best 2 Boxers out there IMO but i don't look forward to there fights like i do a Maidana, Lucas, Froch, Rios, Pacman, Khan,GGG,,JMM etc. As there fights i know will be entertaining and more than likely be wars/or KO's.

get over yourself mate. just because you don't see enjoy something doesn't mean no one else does.

if you don't enjoy his fights and feel "empty" afterwards (because you're never granted the satisfaction of seeing floyd lose, i guess), why do you insist on watching them? out of spite, so you can cite specific examples in your tedious online moaning?

i don't feel empty after a mayweather fight, i feel satisfied and occasionally awed. i love seeing the best do what they do best.

you're a wanker and you need to find a new hobby if boxing is such a source of frustration and disappointment for you. try searching "bum fights" on youtube or something.
