heavyweights don't have to drain to a certain weight,it's anything over what,200?,where these guys have to go down even more,it does matter and I think one can only tell during the fight, like I said if it didn't matter then whats the point of asking for them, look at cotto against pac, after the second or third round he looks very tired and his punches like in slow motion

That's a stiff penalty. Where's Oscar's black card/check book when you need it lol. I think Canelo will come in at the contracted weight

So now that the fight is on, Schaeffer has no choice but to tell us that "the CW is a good thing for Canelo"

Before the agreement, Schaeffer was adamant in that Canelo had a hard enough time making 154 let alone at a CW

"Schaefer: Canelo cannot go lower than 154 for a Mayweather fight"

The last time Canelo tried to go below 154 was in his fight against welterweight Matthew Hatton when the two fighters fought for the vacant WBC junior middleweight title two+ years ago in March 2011.
Canelo came in over the limit at 151.8 pounds.

Because if you really struggle making weight your not hungry you actually feel a bit sickly , Oscar vs Manny couldn't eat at all and was vomiting that's why he had to have IV fluid infusions to try and rehydrate because his body was taking anything naturally .

A nutrition expert for Canelo is the right thing to do I bet Chad Dawson didn't have experts controlling his weight vs Ward , the I don't think the weight will bother Canelo at all , not if its done right and it sounds like they a going the way of sports science not homegrown old school boxing trainer .

Nutrition experts and proper controlled training will change that entirely , you always never take into account that things change over time , your too one track to notice .

The problem is that the great fighters didn't wait for a big fight to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Bernard Hopkins probably hasn't eaten a hamburger in 15-20 years.
20 years ago hopkins was having his first fight with royd jones

What I noticed is that over time Canelo has gotten bigger and in his last fight he came in at 172lbs on fight night. So that leads me to conclude that he had a tough time making 154 let alone 152. Again, the information about not making the CW was from a fight that was 2.5 years earlier. He barely made 152 back then and in fact struggled. Now he has gotten bigger ....

Yes, a nutritionist can help out but only up to a certain point. If Canelo's body has grown, 152 may be tough to attain even with a nutritionist ..... at least make 152 comfortably.
