It depends to some fighters, not all.

Its a case by case thing. If two pounds was that important to the outcome of a fight then how do you explain the heavyweights?

Clottey ate half a Zebra on the morning he fought Corrales which caused him to blow up 23 pounds from the weigh in.

Wrong? Yet when "El Diario" asked him in Caguas about the catchweight he himself said "No tengo problema, voy a estar listo". Translation: "No I don't have an issue with it, I will be ready".

so why did he asked Margacheato on 150lbs catchweight? and in the end also ended up on a catchweight?

He made 153 1/2 with those bad habits against Trout. Canelo is young and hasn't been in any wars. The catch weight will not be an issue. It's really up to Canelo, his fight to loose.. If he sticks with the nutrition plan and working off the jab I give him a 40% chance at beating May, but right now I have it 70-30 Floyd Canelo

I don't understand how this guy can be doing this all the time. This is all he does, makes this moronic post over and over, then runs away.

Floyd was eating Fried Chicken, in the Guerrero/Floyd build up. Had a whole bit, on how he gets away eating what he wants.

really? I haven't heard alvarez say that,as a matter of fact there is an interview of him saying he never asked for a catchweight, that why would he...that's what he said, but when Floyd was asked at one of these conferences he said to ask Ellerbe...he never said canelo wanted it,canelo denied asking for a catchweight,,,so who's to believe? as a matter of fact shaeffer is on record as saying floyds camp wanted 150 but he was able to negociate 152,in other words Floyd wanted him to go down even more
