Believe me or not but I think that Carl would beat GGG at this stage... But Hearn just announced the Groves fight...

Martinez -- injured; Ward -- needs a tune up after injury; Chavez Jr. also needs a tune up; Geale fights Barker in August; Quillin seems not so eager to face GGG...

Then who GGG is to fight next?
There are some decent options at Jr. Middleweight if GGG can still make weight. He's not physically a big middleweight. I remember a while back in an HBO interview he said he could fight between Jr. and Super-middleweight.

    Top Ten Contenders
    1. Saul Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KO, WBC, 6 Defenses; WBA Super, 0 Defenses)
    2. Floyd Mayweather (43-0, 26 KO)
    3. Austin Trout (26-1, 14 KO)
    4. Miguel Cotto (37-4, 30 KO)
    5. Erislandy Lara (18-1-2, 12 KO)
    6. Carlos Molina (21-5-2, 6 KO)
    7. Ishe Smith (25-5, 11 KO, IBF, 0 Defenses)
    8. Vanes Martirosyan (33-0-1, 21 KO)
    9. Zaurbek Baysangurov (28-1, 20 KO, WBO 2 Defenses)
    10. Gabriel Rosado (21-7, 13 KO)
But, Lord have mercy on anyone who tastes his power at 154!

Back in 2004 (at the Athens Olympics) Golovkin fought at 165 (i.e. middleweight for amateurs). It's true, GGG is a small super middleweight but that's what he naturally is...
In my opinion, Golovkin and Kovalev are able to actually rule from the middle weight up to the cruiser weight... But unfortunately these two guys are Russians...

When a guy looks this good, you can't stop the speculation against top competition. That top competition happens to be bigger guys. He still has to clear out the division but they aren't mouth-watering fights.

GGG has solid boxing technique, with comparable punching power to JCC jr.

i dont think sergio can move and evade GGG the way he did JR.

this is a dangerous fight for sergio, especially if he cant fully heal from injuries.

if murray was able to keep sergio honest, i have a hard time thinking GGG would not be able to do the same... but WORSE. GGG is a scary dude.

This is what I would like to see as well. I don't want him to move up yet to fight the likes of Froch, Ward, etc. GGG is a MW title holder, and not some huge one like JCC Jr. I wanna see him fight the top dogs at MW before heading over to SMW.

Triple G is what Boxing needs

Old boxing fans long for the fresh face that comes on the scene with bombs in both hands and a head and feet that know how to use them.

                Rocky Marciano
                Sonny Liston
                Cassius Clay
                Joe Frazier
                George Foreman
                Roberto Duran
                Thomas Hearns
                Marvin Hagler
                Holyfield
                Chavez Sr

and the list goes on just to name a stand out few

                GGG has the Goods

HE must KO Sergio at 160

HE can go to 154 and chicken JR will give him the title or he will find himself on the mat squeaking trying to get his breath LMAO

                Take Frochs title by KO

Take Andre's title and it should be by KO

The feeling is he wants it and is pushing for it and will do it !!!!

                GOTTA LOVE IT !!!!!!!!

you can forget the ballerina, all those roads lead to a dead end for boxing

                    Ggg

This guy had over 300 Amateur fights. What do you expect. He has power, yes, but he also has a high skill level, and he is completely confident. He is going to be hard to beat.

Hey Cliff, what do you still make of Golovkin with his C rated defense (Pre-Report Card) after he made light work of Macklin untouched... rofl.
