I think he still needs work there. He was still easy to hit. Just didn't matter.

C though? Who in the sport has better defense, per lb of aggression?

I think he'd show better defense if he feared what was coming back more. So far, he hasn't been hard to touch. C might have been a little harsh, but he was awfully easy to hit in fights like Ouma and Rosado and wasn't hard to find at all last weekend. Macklin caught him with a few flush hooks.

        Again, didn't matter.

pretty much said the same thing. i dunno why ppl are so defensive about his defense. its not that great or anything, but its also not a big part of his game.

Agreed. He seemed willing to stand his ground and take a shot to deliver his. Some fighters don't mind tasting leather.

Golovkin-Quillin might already be the showdown of the two very best in-ring Middleweights in the world right now.
Based on what exactly? Quillin was outboxed against N'Dam.

But, Lord have mercy on anyone who tastes his power at 154!
I'd have to agree, at 154 GGG would be extremely dangerous.
He kind of reminds me of a young Kostya Tszyu, a foward pressure style, great ring intelligence and boxing skill coupled with devastating punching power in both hands. Not to mention a great chin. I can only see great things for Golovkin in the future.

GGG could be more defensively responsible, but then he wouldn't be stopping mofos as much... I dont think GGG needs to be defensively responsible until he faces super MW's like Froch and Ward

I doubt GGG hits harder than Chavez Jr.

I am not a hater of GGG . but I still think Martinez beats him

I can't bet against healthy hungry Martinez , and he knows GGG is dangerous , so he will be well-prepared
With respect, it's highly doubtful that Martinez would even make a dent in GGG. Sergio knows it as does his team. Have a closer look at both fighters past fights where the proof is clearly there... not to mention the history of GGG's stellar amateur record (300+ fights). Martinez is a great fighter but he's not in the same league of Gennady's fighting ability.
Last - IMHO and not to be an ****** towards your opinions......Chavez Jr. hits NOWHERE near the punching power of GGG. I have seen both train & fight in person and GGG hits like a middleweight version of Mike Tyson plus he has PERFECT ACCURACY in placing his punches. While his punches might not look powerful to you via TV, live and in person they are devastating. If he touches you....you go down. He is just what boxing needs right now and he's just getting started. A worthy opponent for him would be Ward. Peace!

In my opinion, Golovkin and Kovalev are able to actually rule from the middle weight up to the cruiser weight... But unfortunately these two guys are Russians...

"Unfortunately these two are Russians"????????????? Whats up with that statement?
There is nothing wrong with Russian Fighters.....Russian women either.
