Fighters need to stop with this moving down a weight class bull crap. Its proven to be a costly risk over and over.

However, just to keep it fair, Mayweather should ensure the fight is at 152 (Make GGG sweat since he wants the shot of his career).

Mayweather would wipe the floor with GGG. First off, GGG's defense is not world class. Look at how he followed Macklin around the ring instead of cutting it off. He also follows with no head movement.

Secondly, Floyd knows how to tie up. That is a very important skill to utilize. Holding can prevent boxers like GGG from getting into punching rhythm. Mayweather, Ward and Hopkins are MASTERS at this.

Lastly, Floyd punches too fast and crisp for GGG to deal with. GGG is not overly fast and he walks in, at times, with his hands low. He also walks in without jabbing first.

Floyd will tatoo his face - Guerrero style - all night long. Floyd would be too fast (offensively and defensively), to crafty and too smart for GGG to deal with.

I hope GGG does cut the weight and come on down to 152. After Floyd whoops Canelo and GGG, he's Ray Robinson status.

Call me what you want, but I speak the truth. 44-0.

GGG is a MW and Floyd is a WW, wouldn't want to see GGG drain himself anyway just so some ppl can sleep at night because they think Floyd is invincible and cannot possibly be beaten. Fighters should just stay in their weight classes or move up all the way to a designated one if they want to challenge themselves.

I agree. Floyd won't even fight Canelo at 154, so he'll absolutely ask for a ridiculous catchweight for this fight too. However the Mayweathers will then talk dis and dat about how they'd whoop GGG at 154 then request the fight at 150 and their fans would love em for it.

If Mayweather is so good then why can't he fight GGG at 154 which is the weight Mayweather is supposed to be champion of. Is 152 a new weight class created just for Mr. wonderful Mayweather? I guess you would want GGG's middleweight title to be at stake if he fights Floyd at 152, right? GGG is not ******. He won't agree to fight Mayweather at 152. He said he would fight Mayweather at 154 and I do believe he would KO Mayweather in 5 rounds or less and it would be easy. It would just be a big chase but GGG is good at cutting off the ring. Maybe Canelo will KO Floyd and send him back to 147. Hey, Floyd could fight Ward at a catchweight of 152 of course.

GGG's skills aren't on Mayweather's level. Period. Power can only get you so far.

canelo is no beast. he has one win over a top contender in 40+ fights. its an easy fight for floyd. he will get no credit when he wins.

floyd could have gotten a butt load of credit for beating martinez a year or two ago he was willing to come to 154 lbs but floyd took a pass on that and now is very eager to face canelo. it doesnt take a rocket science to figure it out

                    martinez was a high risk

canelo low risk very high reward

floyd would definitely get credit for beating GGG

Funny how some of you people ignore the fact that as awesome as GGG is, he has many names to beat before earning that fight, and there is a good chance Floyd retires before he does.
