It's only impressive because most of you don't know how to use those numbers.

For one: There's a BIG contrast between PPV numbers and numbers based on "free fights".

There's no denying that KO's sell but Golovkin won't be a household name over night. He is climbing though.

That's a good number for two unknowns...but remember not to compare 1.1 million views on HBO to 1.1 million PPV buys....

Yes we know. Keep in mind the highly anticipated rematch between Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarado did 1.2 million.

This is a good number for GGG. But for HBO I'd be kinda upset given they aired a "2 days" to promote this fight and it did less than Rios/Alvarado and Paulie/Broner.

But Grantland did a story on it and GGG is getting realy good media from HBO's partners so I expect an increase in his next fight.

Too bad Manny is fighting in China. The semi main on a big ppv is right where GGG needs to be.

What's the problem of Manny fighting in China? It will be aired live in America at the same time all PPVs are at.

I think its too costly/dificult to have GGG on the undercard in China. I think he would greatly benefit from being the smi main on a big ppv.

The purse for GGG Macklin was 650k. The purse for Broner Paulie 2.5m+. Do the math

The cost to produce and air a "2 days" show costs far more than $2.5 mil.

There are more issues besides purse.
