    Matthysse and Golovkin p4p punching power

    Both of these fighters don't look like they exert more than other fighters. I'm always fascinated when a fighter looks so relaxed and loose yet the reaction from their opponents when they get hit is like they're fighting someone twice their size.

    Who do you think p4p has more pop between Matthysse and Golovkin?

    I know it's a big hypothetical and they're both elite punchers. I'm inclined to say Golovkin but it's really not an easy choice. I think Matthysse has fought and stopped a higher level of opposition, but I really don't think Golovkin would look any different against other top 160's then he has so far.

    To be honest, I think Matthysse has the P4P more freakishly heavy hands. Peterson took a glancing shot to the head that scrambled the hell out of his brains. Golovkin has hammers for hands as well, but I think a lot of his punching effectiveness comes from his technique which is superb.

    I think Matthysee has the more freakish power versus Golovkin having plenty of power and knowing exactly how to use it.

      Lucas has more power, GGG has better technique. Don't know who hits harder though

        I kinda get the impression that Golovkin has the heavier hands in that every punch he throws is going to hurt even his jabs, while Lucas may have more one punch explosive power.

          Mattysse IMO.

          Golovkin has crushing power but he stopped Macklin who has always showed vunerability with his resistnace.

          Peterson had never been stopped and Matthysse damn near took his head off.

              lucas = lights out 1-punch power
              GGG = heavy pounding power

              lucas can turn a fight around with 1 punch, GGG seems to completely obliterate and crumble opponents after a few rounds.

                I don't want either of them to even slap me on the back, let alone punch me.

                  Well this is exactly right because a loose relaxed muscle is much stronger than a tense tight muscle.

                    Eh? Matthysse's opposition is way better than GGG's.

                    I'm not saying GGG doesn't hit harder than Lucas but that's not a very accurate way to look at it IMO.
