Abdullaev was a good win for Cotto especially since Abdullaev beat him in the amateurs. They were both unbeaten as well.


I think Cotto has the better and deeper resume.

Hard for me to say, they both have good resumes. Not great but real good.

Bailey, Malignaggi, Torres, Mosley and Judah all won world titles and a few of them guys even defended them after Cotto beat them. Showing that they still had some left in the tank.

People beat up Cottos resume but he fought everyone. Losing to Pac and Mayweather isn't shameful. Then late in his career losing to Trout who is bigger and stronger (physically) than cotto and also undefeated, who nobody would fight isnt embarrassing either.

I'm a big fan of Martinez, and I don't think his title reign was nearly as atrocious as a lot of people are making it out to be, but Cotto clearly has the better resume, and arguing otherwise is ridiculous. It's not even close.

Puerto Ricans and Mexicans should not be allowed to voice their opinions as they will be too biased.

As a white person, my opinion is much more credible than any Puerto Rican or Mexican, and I say Miguel Cotto has the better resume. Therefore, me being neither Puerto Rican or Mexican, and also being white, Miguel Cotto is the correct answer.

If you aren't Mexian or Rican, then I respect your opinion on this matter and would not argue your point of view. You are clearly a Martinez fan as I am a Cotto fan. Only difference is, we're neither Mexican nor Puerto Rican so our opinions are superior.

I voted Martinez, even though Cotto has fought the better fighters, Pac and Floyd are above and beyond anyone Martinez has fought but Martinez has won all his major fight...Cotto hasn't. I think that should be taken into account. Cotto was embarrassed by Pac and Margy and outclassed by Floyd.

Martinez destroyed Williams, schooled Pavlik and turned it on in all his title defences except Murray.
