I always talked smack about Chavez but I think the ones keeping him from Martinez was Arum. Maybe his dad too? But I'm not sure. Lets see if they let him fight Ward. Not gonna lie... dangerous fight for BOTH guys.

There were direct quotes from chavez complaining about Arum blocking him from the martinez fight. In fact he was saying Arum was demanding he sign a 2 fight contract extension or else he would not allow him to fight Martinez. I dont know what became of it but Jr was very upset with Arum.
