I do see Golovkin knocking Martinez out, but I always feel like Martinez would be knocked out. He seems to pull it out EVERY single time, and for that reason he is still #1 in my book.

Martinez still has not lost..WHO HAS BEATEN Martinez lately?? and I had Murray losing to Martinez, good close fight but come on.

This dude should be Number 1 P4P, he is the only champ to has consistently faced tough fights, not like Mayweather or Pacquiao or Ward.

Sergio's fighting Darren Barker and Martin Murray and looking average. Golovkin just put another guy he struggled with on the canvas for like two minutes in the third round.

**** out of here with, "Martinez should be p4p #1."

Not sure if Martinez is defensively reliable enough to win a decision, and its his only chance.

The best fight in boxing IMO

You can't knock Martinez at this stage of his career (if you've been following since 2005). The guy has been fighting under the radar for a lot of his carerr and arguably had been the most underrated fighter until he finally got his due the last two/three years. He's been avoided by many fighters in his time. So what the guy is on top, and has the luxary to choose whom he fights (it's just business-whethere it's Martinez or Dibella).
Personally, GGG fight would be amazing. I couldn't tell you who'd win that one and I'm really starting to like GGG. Anyway, both fighters in my eyes are pretty cool....just some thoughts.

Martinez is still The Man at 160 lb. He didn't look Maravilla against Murray but I still had him winning that one. Golovkin is a great fighter but Martinez brings a ton of movement to the table. I'm waiting to see how Sergio looks in his ring return next year before I start telling people GGG is knocking him out.

and Martinez can punch. Not saying he stops Golo but he can get his respect. I think Martinez was a victim of expectation because most thought he'd handle Murrary easily. So they detract him because he struggled more than "he should have"

Look at Martinez's struggles at 160.

Pavlik won 4 rounds and put him on his ass.

Barker and Macklin both won 3 or 4 rounds and busted Martinez up before getting stopped.

Murray put him on his ass and arguably beat him.

They all did the same thing. Use the jab and good fundamentals and try to neutralize his movement. Golovkin is a ****ing master at that, and he hits harder than any of those guys. This isn't just because of Murray. Golovkin does everything that has given Sergio trouble at middleweight, and he does them better than anyone Martinez has fought at middleweight.
