Golovkin vs Ward would be a big PPV event in a year or so. To sell that fight GGG is going to need to assert himself as the middleweight champ by beating Martinez, or he'd need to move up in weight and establish himself at SMW against a guy like Froch or Kessler. If he does both of those things then he'd be a big set-up for a Ward opponent.

Right now I think GGG has unfinished business at middleweight. Martinez will make his comeback next year and once he does we'll have a better idea of how he can match up against Golovkin in the twilight of his career.

He will hide out at 168 just like Calzaghe. He wont go up to 175 to face Adonis and wont go down to face GGG. I think both smash him.
So just started watching boxing huh?

Ill tell you why, because Dre would make his ass fight of that back foot, blunting his power shots, and exposing the leaky ass defense. People act like Rosado wasn't touching him up, and plus Glovkin swells real easy.

Trust me The Glovkin camp don't want no Ward situation now or later, it would mean...

        Game Over.
Nothing to do with this thread or OP but golovkin put on a boxing clinic against Rosado. He dominated from the opening bell. you should rewatch it maybe.

This could be a really big fight in a year or two. As I see it, there's really nobody at 160 that's going to beat Golovkin. As much as I like Martinez, I think he gets sparked out by Golovkin...probably in dominating fashion. He's that good, that strong, very well poised.

But if a fight with him and Ward is to ever happen I'd like to see Golovkin against a couple 168lbers first before jumping into the den with Ward.

Quillin turned the fight down in the past, he's not calling GGG out he's saying that they could headline a PPV down the road, that's not calling somebody out lol.

Golovkin demolished him, but he's at a different point in his career to Sergio. If we ever get the Martinez-GGG fight you can't help but think we will get the best possible Sergio, but whether it's enough is up in the air. Dude is close to 40 and diminished physically, probably from fighting a weight class too high.
Motivation or not, Martinez has physically declined, all that wear and tear won't go away just because you're motivated.

Well he spars with light heavies, cruisers and some heavies, I don't think he'll have much problems moving up.

I know you're mad because people are trying to match him against Floyd but try to calm down for a minute and use your brain. GGG hasn't beaten any of the other champs in his weightclass, why fight the #1 guy at 168 before he gets the chance to fight the #1 or #2 guy at 160? Doesn't make sense.

What did he say that was so wrong? He is 100% Right!

Not sure how is this ducking when GGG people are the ones saying they would do a fight with Ward "LATER" because unlike ****** Boxing Forum Fans they are far more realistic and they understand that just jumping up to 168 without even fighting the best fighters at 160 yet would be ***in ******

The only person more inactive than Floyd is Ward.
