I have to retract my last post. I just read on boxing scene top headlines that GGG's promoter would like GGG to stay at 160 and further build up his name at middleweight before fighting Ward in the future. So GGG's team don't want to fight Ward right now. They think it would be a bigger fight later on.

Do people seriously not remember that Ward is returning from an injury. If it's trolling then I'd ask why the hate? Ward seems like a cool dude and has taken on all challengers thus far in his career.

Amazing the hype a win over Macklin get's. Ward and Froch would destroy that guy too.

Ward never called out Mayweather,His words was twisted by the media,he was asked would he fight Mayweather and he said that if Floyd were to move up to middleweight and Floyd was interested in fighting him he would move down to middleweight. And Golovkin already said he wants to stay at middleweight for a while longer.Golovkin didn`t beat anybody so Ward wants to wait to when he gets bigger popularity wise.

And Golovkin is ducking Kid Chocolate whose currently calling him out.Golovkin beat nobodies but people acting like he beat monsters.

Golovkin should not want it right now. He is just finally getting his feet wet at Middleweight and starting to get some big fights. It would make no sense to jump up and fight Ward and start hop-scotching weight classes.

Golovkin does want to though, but his management know he still has work to do where he is at. For now they are putting on the brakes as long as they can line up good opponents. In another year it would make sense for him to move up or down. Not now though.

If you honestly think GGG can beat Ward and you're not being a troll, you're a idiot and there is no hope for you.

I agree. I think it's because Martinez went life and death with him and Golovkin didn't is the point of comparison. Macklin is ordinary and I suspect Sergio wasn't motivated, but he got the job done eventually.

Golovkin demolished him, but he's at a different point in his career to Sergio. If we ever get the Martinez-GGG fight you can't help but think we will get the best possible Sergio, but whether it's enough is up in the air. Dude is close to 40 and diminished physically, probably from fighting a weight class too high.

Truth be told, if both do what I'm expecting them to, this could be my version of Pacquiao-Mayweather, 'least for me

According to Tom Loeffler, managing director of K2 Promotions, his company is not looking to rush IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24KOs) i

Golovkin's team has no intentions of making this fight any time soon. GGG is the one ducking.

I'd like to see that fight but I feel like gg is to small for 68. In his two days segment Sanchez said that he walks around 167-170. My question is can he take the hits from some of these bigger guys
