Mayweather himself is a big part of why he was famous but you can't deny HBO's part in bringing him up to that level. It's not like Showtime did anything to develop him. That's my entire point here.
The one Golden Boy fighter who truly came up on Showtime is Abner Mares. Everyone else made their names on HBO and were moved over gradually (and before HBO said they wouldn't be working with GBP).Comment

Is that the only match-up you can think of? That's a great option for B-Hop, not necessarily for Adonis. And since GBP/HBO are on bad terms, why would that fight even be discussed? HBO could match Adonis with Bellew, Cloud, Kovalev/Cleverly winner, Pascal/Bute winner, or a rematch with Dawson. Later down the line, they could match him up with Ward too. People want to see B-Hop make history (again), but I couldn't care less about that.Last edited by kiaba360; 06-30-2013, 05:15 PM.Comment

My bro have HBO and our household have Showtime.
HBO getting rid of the Haymon/Schaefer mafia team has been beneficial to fans. Gone are the Berto and Haymon infested garbage fights at HBO. The mafia team are now forced to behave well. Otherwise, Showtime will lose money.
So it's been good so far.
The breakup has been good indeed. The Haymon/GBP marinating days are over.Last edited by maguirre; 06-30-2013, 05:16 PM.Comment
