Let's be real. GGG is not too big for Floyd.

I'm just not sure how you can ONLY look at what GGG does against the guys he's fought, and assume that it would look the same against Mayweather. Completely ignoring the things that Mayweather is good at (and much better at, than ANYONE GGG has been in with).
You clearly believe Golovkin is hype, well I'm of the opinion the hype is real and I think he brutalises the guy.
floyd fans are wondering Has there ever been a time when NSB pondered this much about a fight between guys seperated by 2 weight classes, who fight on different networks, where one guy isn't even the best in the other weight class?
With every other fighter we mostly discuss matchups in their weight class.
We talk about Golovkin-Mayweather because the former just called him out and is willing to meet him halfway.Last edited by Weebler I; 07-09-2013, 12:55 PM.Comment

Andre Dirrell? Anyhow, Mayweather's movement isn't what it was, don't let Guerrero's plodding fool you.
I know what Mayweather is good at, and I don't think it's anywhere near enough to deal with what Golovkin brings to the table. Same goes for Martinez who imo also beats Floyd but loses to Golovkin.

Talk about lining up your excuses...

A lot of guys call floyd out. Its just interesting how posters gravitate toward certain fights while completely dismissing others.
We know you are a sucker for hype about european power punchers and their ability to beat floyd.Comment

An equivalent would have been Mayweather fighting Marquez at 140 but of course, that didn't happen (nor did the agreed catchweight).Comment

Lucas - No
Garcia - lol
Devon Alexander - wat
Amir Khan - glass chin
Canelo - barley beat Trout, gasses fast, power overrated
Martinez - chinny, old as hell and clearly over the hill
Bradley - jack of all trades master of none, especially not power or ring IQ
The list goes on and on, it's pretty easy to see Golovkin is a far better overall fighter than all of those listed. People gravitated towards Golovkin because he looks to be the biggest threat and he possesses skills none of those above have, or will probably ever have.Last edited by T18Z; 07-09-2013, 01:17 PM.Comment

Ha...well to that I would say it's as much about footwork as it is power. Running doesn't work against Golovkin, ask Andre Dirrell.Comment

I take your point, but Floyd's fans like to maintain he is a WW and Golovkin is definitely a MW. So 154 would be halfway in that respect, even if he does hold titles there.

I mean, Floyd's next fight is for all the marbles at SWW, including the "lineal" belt. How can you be The Man at SWW and be too small for certain guys that can make the weight? It's not special olympicsComment

Who looks more promising right now than Golovkin in general ability?

You've convinced me. I have clearly been brainwashed by the Floyd fans size arguments.Comment
