Golovkin murders Quillin in his own adopted hometown of Brooklyn in about 4-5 rounds probably.
    - Before Quillin got the WBO Title he was yelling about how desperate he was for a title shot. Golovkin offered him one and he turned it down

    - Once Quillin won the WBO belt he used the "Golovkin isn't a big enough name to fight me excuse" and ducked him again.

    - It's only in the last month when he's felt safe due to the netowrk dispute that he's said he's willing to fight Golovkin

    Are people really this ******?

True that ! My fault. Usually it's the promoters/channels who **** everything up.

And Garcia vs Matthysse! They also did great numbers with Broner vs Paullie, and Canelo vs Trout etc...

To use the network as an excuse is bogus especially when it is not a top rank fighter vs Golden Boy fighter!
they have exclusive contracts with their networks.

I want to see the fight, too, but when you have one fighter speaking in absolute terms and not leaving the window of possibility open, fights become more difficult to make. Not blaming GGG or saying he's ducking, but his new position does make the fight more improbable.
Here man, this is 2 months old. Make sure you watch that video, feel free to bump the thread lol:

What changed? Maybe someone reminded him he's safe on Showtime. Look at these weasel words, the guy has never headlined even on Showtime, all undercard, and he wants to face GGG on PPV lol. How long term are these plans?

Me and @gggboxing will be a #ppv headliner #trust and believe coming for that other belt until I get em all.

Either misinformed or just choosing to ignore it. I agree with you 100% though.

Here's a scenario where the whole HBO / Showtime gets to become a disservice to the fans. Pretty soon Jiffy Lube and Tecate are gonna get into the fight business and start signing fighters.

Now you not only gotta worry about what Network you're fighting on, but where you buy beer and get your ****in oil changed.

Quillin avoided Golovkin and used any excuse he could. He didn't want the fight in the past, he doesn't want it in the present and he won't want it in the future. Quillin faces handpicked opponents on other people's undercards and obviously doesn't want to step up above that level. The guy almost fought Jermain Taylor not long ago and after the drug testing fiasco against Winky Wright it's hard to believe that he's clean either. He will take easy fights for as long as he can. He is in his 30s and still won't fight a legit threat, he talks as if he's in his early 20s with the 'let the fight build up' nonsense.

Golovkin will probably unify against Geale and then face Martinez. Meanwhile Quillin will be fighting Danny Jacobs on a Zab Judah undercard, probably blaming promotional disputes for the state of his career when the reality is that the chance to elevate himself to the next level was there more than once and he didn't have the self-belief to go for it.

Incredible really. And all of the interviews where Quillin said those things were posted here multiple times, I can only assume people simply ignore what doesn't fit into their view.

                  1) I agree on the PEDer Quillin part

                  2) I hope the Geale/Barker winner unifies with GGG but Eddie Hearn is on video saying he wouldn't make that fight for Barker and Geale has already avoided him so i won't hold my breath.

                  3) I would rather see GGG fight Murray than Quillin. Martin doesn't have as much power but he's equally big, seems more durable, all around more skilled and would probably be linear champion if the Martinez fight had been held at a neutral venue.
