  • I'm confused. The loudest voices here expect Canelo to stop Floyd, so shouldn't we be talking about a Canelo-Golovkin fight? After all, if a naturally bigger Canelo beats a naturally smaller Floyd, why would Floyd fight another naturally bigger fighter with an even bigger punch than Canelo?

Canelo will probably have to move up to middleweight at some point anyway whether he likes it or not, and if he's going to be the new star of the sport when he wakes up on September 15, Canelo-Golovkin should be the fight everyone is demanding.

The fact that few are talking about this matchup suggests that those predicting a Canelo victory over Floyd on September 14 really aren't so confident after all.

    • You guys would throw btch fits if Floyd were to call out Donaire, who walks around in his 40s but when bigger guys call out Floyd rather than the best in their own respective weight classes its fine. Floyd fights as the weight he walks at, which is hella commendable as it is.

      • Everybody wants to fight Floyd and get that Big PayDay, get in line GGG but I called this one months ago that GGG will eventually be the next bandwagon fighters jump on and Mayweather will be accused for ducking and fans will try to come up with reason why Mayweather should fight him

Logic, Reality all that stuff goes out the window when discussing Mayweather, some fans just want to see him lose they don't care about the match up being fair or none of that BS as long as he loses finally they are happy

A lot of times fighters are mentioning Floyd Mayweather's name to create a buzz for themselves, based on how the Landscape of boxing is at the Moment with the Networks and Promotions being Split...They know that fight is not going to happen but by him mentioning Mayweather it does grab the attention of the Casual Boxing Fans

Quick, tell me the amount of times Mayweather has fought at JMW and how many belts he has won? (It's 3 and 2 titles)

If Golovkin says he can make the weight and sticks to his word, what the hell is the problem? Golovkin is smaller than Canelo in terms of hydration, yet somehow it's fine for Mayweather to fight him?

You floyd fans make **** up to suit your agenda, he's fine facing Cotto, De la hoya and Canelo, but not GGG? News flash, if a fighter makes the weigh in limit before the fight on the scale, he is part of that division, stop being so ******, this is how boxing works, this is why we have multiple division champions because they can choose where they would like to fight.

You are pathetically moronic and just know GGG would win, you just revert to 'HES BIGGER' as a way of solidifying the fact you know GGG would dominate.

          • this is a great fight between two guys with real skill. GGG should out power him though but we'd see the true mayweather in that fight. He'd need every skill he has to win. He wont be doing any coasting in that one.

Lol, laughable, everyone has visions of ko'ing Mayweather and seeing him sprawled out, a joke.
I have heard a lot of people saying this kid should fight ward who looks like a cruiserweight. how come nobody says ward should move up to light heavy being he cleaned out the division

I knew your hating ass would pop up! GGG is closer to weight to Ward than he is Mayweather and currently the #2 fighter! If he really wants to make a statement fight Ward!

But we all know NOBODY I repeat nobody wants it with Ward! Skill wise Floyd would destroy GGG but dude is a MW call out Kid chocolate... Whom Im sure would gladly fight him.

in this vid he says he is not ready for Ward he would like Ward but he said he needs a fight at 168 to see how he does & if he feels ok he would want Ward, on the other hand Ward says he want GGG but that he doesn't call him out because he doesn't want people saying he is calling out smaller guys, get you facts right.

                  • You guys always looking for a way to hate on Mayweather. We're talking about one of the purest boxers to ever put on a pair of gloves. If this fight were to ever get done, which is just a fantasy, you would have to lean towards Floyd winning this fight just based on boxing. Lets be clear here, I would rather have Floyds boxing and defense than GGG's power anyday.

                    • Mayweather sweepstakes

Hey I just beat up my 8 year old Nephew so I should fight Mayweather next. All these boxer are putting their name in the Floyd Mayweather sweepstakes is a shame. What happened to the good ole days when a fighter cleaned out their division and made a name for themselves? Now a day all they do is look for the big payday against Mayweather. They should put all the guys who want to fight Floyd in the ring, and let them fight to the death. The winner should then fight Mayweather what do you think? lol...
