I'm confused. The loudest voices here expect Canelo to stop Floyd, so shouldn't we be talking about a Canelo-Golovkin fight? After all, if a naturally bigger Canelo beats a naturally smaller Floyd, why would Floyd fight another naturally bigger fighter with an even bigger punch than Canelo?
Canelo will probably have to move up to middleweight at some point anyway whether he likes it or not, and if he's going to be the new star of the sport when he wakes up on September 15, Canelo-Golovkin should be the fight everyone is demanding.
The fact that few are talking about this matchup suggests that those predicting a Canelo victory over Floyd on September 14 really aren't so confident after all.
