First,I'm talking about how Pac looked not his opponent..Cotto was a top 5 opponent and had already shown he was a top fighter in the sport by beating Shane(not many people can say that)in somewhat of his prime and was a multi weight champion..What was wrong with Cotto at that point??Absolutely nothing would be the correct answer..Nobody had a issue with Cotto vs Pac..Or a at least nobody should have,it was an excellent match up..

Pac looked just as good in that fight then he did in the rematch with Marquez..He even added new tactic's to his style, which was to keep his hands up and turn his body in the clinch(to avoid Cotto's uppercut, which he's known for throwing in the clinch)..From each video I put up he looks better bro..

He clearly got better. He developed his footwork, his right hand (the hook in particular, which he never had in his days pre-lightweight), and even developed his defence somewhat. He also improved on the areas that he was already great in, evidenced by the fact that his straight left hand was one of the most potent weapons in the sport over the span of so many weight classes and for such as long period of time, as well as maintaining his great hand and foot speed and co-ordination.

Now Clottey is a bum??Just cause he looked like trash against Pac does not mean Clottey is/was a bum..I can guarantee Marquez would have had trouble with Clottey..Styles makes fights my friend..Clottey is not a bum either..At the time he would have been a hard fight for anyone at WW..

Combination of both, he got better as he moved up weight classes but also faced opponents that was tailored made for him.

I'm not sure about his foot work improving though, still over extends, struggles with a boxer who can control distance & his foot work doesn't set up his punches.

LOL. It's funny how scared people still are of Manny, even after he got knocked out.

Im not going to throw dirt on Manny but Clottey is a bum. Everybody on this site is all about resume so I ask you who has Clottey ever beat? His best wins are still Zab Judah and Chico Coralles years after their prime.
