Canelo. I find it strange that for a good amount of time now, Mayweather chooses a Hispanic weekend to stage his fights. He should fight on Independence Day, Memorial Weekend or why not MLK Day? He should also consider fighting a young American fighter instead of choosing a non American who is just going to run back to their native country with all that American money.

Is this a real question??? Canelo did over a million or so views on regular showtime. Floyd's done 1 million plus PPV's at 60-70 dollars.

It wouldn't be a PPV without Mayweather.

LOL.. They should rematch him with Rosado so he can knock his block off again this time retire him so he can join TMT.

Anyway this thread is borderline remedial, Floyd is the only one that deserves credit, at least 90% of it. People buy his fights to see him lose and since he never lost..

I am inclined to say if Canelo pulls it off his star power will be that of the sun our small planet rotate every 365 days.

Also, this won't break the record. I think it could hit 2 million though.

Canelo vs someone else would do maybe 300K PPV buys, but we really don't actually even know that much.

Floyd vs someone else could do anywhere from 900K-1.25M

lol how can Mayweather not get most of the credit. Canelo never even headlined a ppv before.
Let's be serious 80 percent of the people are purchasing this fight to see if Mayweather finally loses.

Floyd should get about 75% credit and Canelo 25%..
Same as Oscar an Floyd I gave Oscar 80% actually and Floyd 20%. Bottoms line they need each other to do huge numbers but Floyd is alpha dog right now

Both, obviously. Floyd's PPV numbers of late haven't even been close to breaking the record, although his ratings are higher than Canelo's. If this breaks the PPV record I don't see how you could possibly attribute it to just one fighter or the other.

Wrong! It wouldn't be a PPV without the Mexicans. And why do you Flojotos always duck this question...

Why doesn't Floyd fight on MLk Day, or any other day, instead of 5 de Mayo & Mexican Independence Day (Sept. 16th)?

You guys are some delusional mofos.
