    If Jennings beats Pulev.....

Jennings vs Pulev is being tentatively discussed and even confirmed in some circles. If Jennings were to beat Pulev what would that say about the current state of heavyweight boxing in America and heavyweight boxing in general? Would it signify heavyweight boxing in the United States is rising up again? Or would it just signify Pulev as just another overhyped contender?

On a side note: Andy Ruiz Jr and Joe Hanks are fighting towards the end of July. Its good yo see two up and coming undefeated prospects willing to face each other. The top 10 heavyweight contenders should take note and follow suit.

No one thinks Jennings has a chance to beat Pulev? Or no one wants to discuss the ramifications of such a win?

We have one good heavyweight prospect... And sadly all that attention will go to wilder. Jennings is the best we have right noe

I still think Wilder can make an impact. That kind of power simply can't be ignored. Jennings is certainly the better fighter though. If he beat Pulev would the stigma of the US being irrelevant at heavyweight be removed or will people just say Pulev wasn't that good with little pro experience?

I don't think it says anything about American heavyweights as a whole. It would just say that Jennings is one of the better heavyweights in the world.

Umm Jennings is definitely not what he is being made out to be. This guy lacks the muscle memory and finesse to survive in boxing. He missed out on so many important years by getting into boxing at the age of 25. Even in the ring I look at this massively built 6'2 guy with an incredible reach and I'm unimpressed by his power or combinations.

This guy doesn't put his punches together well, foot work is off, he's in great shape but we alllllll know this game is 90% mental 10% physical. I wish he could have started boxing earlier because this guys work ethic is unmatched. I mean born in '84 could have been the heavyweight rep at the '04 olympics instead of Vargas, he could've done the world amateur trials the following year I mean the possibilities if this guy had started boxing 10 years earlier! But he didn't, he is in a very privileged position, I wish him the best but what you have on your hands here is another: Tony Thompson, Kevin Johnson, Seth Mitchell......
That all being said Pulev beats this guy by decision. UD for sure if it's in Europe.

He's already proven to be way better than Seth Mitchell and his china-chin.

I think Jennings has a very good chance of beating Pulev if this fight happens. No contender today looks clearly better than all the others. I guess it might be different if the top contenders fought each other more regularly but we all know that seldom happens today.

We have two good heavyweights right now, Bryant Jennings and Malik Scott. Deontay Wilder is garbage, and he'll be found out.

Jennings and Pulev are both good fighters, and Malik Scott will school Chisora.

I don't think Wilder is garbage, just very raw. Considering the amount of time he's been fighting he's very good. A few more years developing and he could be a decent fighter taking the JCC Jr route. Of course fans are very finicky and will complain even though there own favorites were fighting no one better while having the same experience. Double standards.
