Why dont boxers fight on other holidays???

Ever notice how there are always big beer sales/coupons on those days for Mexican beers? Tecate ($10 off a 30 pack) or something similar.

They know los Mexicanos are trying to get some beer and watch the fights.

Bobby Arum and Ricky Schafer know what they're doing.

I wouldn't watch a fight on July 4 if I weren't an avid Boxing fan. It's not like basketball where people will spend their Father's day watching lebron drop 40 on the spurs.

I'd be down to watch a good scrap on the 4th of July! The only problem is that most families are out enjoying fireworks during the evening hours when the fights normally take place. Christmas or Thanksgiving might be a better option.

Thanksgiving would be perfect. Most people are with alot of family and would be easy for people to scrap up money for a PPV
