I myself see Canelo getting stopped rounds 9-12. This young buck will be put into the deep end and will be drowning.

How often does he say this, and how often does he actually do it or even try?

Mayweather challenges Canelo for the WBC/WBA junior middleweight titles on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather blames the opponents for his recent run of decision victories. When boxers come to fight, like Ricky Hatton, Mayweather feels that he can knock them out. But he says other opponents come to the ring with the strategy of surviving and going the distance, which makes it difficult to knock them out.

Yep. Some boxers (I don't even want to call them fighters) are just happy to survive. Haye was smiling at the end of the 12th round in the Klitschko fight. Boxers like Lara run all night. Rigondeaux, Vasquez, Abril, to name a few. Mayweather himself is satisfied winning by UD/SD. It's not easy to beat such boxers. It's also hard for fans to root for such boxers. They bore you to death. Every time they fight fans jump up and down when they get KTFD or KOed....It took Mayweather a Hoya fight to become an attraction. Whole world was rooting for Hoya. He lost by SD. Fans wanted a rematch. Floyd wanted none of Hoya ever again. Since then fans followed Mayweather around to see him lose. That explains the PPV attraction.

This is why I like Mayweather... I don't think he'll knock out Canelo... But he speaks the truth and always finds a way to shoot back at the critics... Critics don't give a f.uck about the attraction, better or worse, critics just want something to write about...

Floyd lives scared. Floyd fights scared. But that's one of the things that makes him so incredibly dangerous. Particularly when he's facing an opponent he feels threatened by or in the rare instances he's been hurt. I.E. Diego Corrales, Chop Chop.

I've seen every fight Floyd Mayweather has ever participated in as a professional boxer, many of them multiple times. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he hurts, knocks down, or even stops Canelo depending on the circumstances. Little Floyd has a killer inside him. You just need to make him feel compromised enough to bring the beast alive.

Floyd is great at timing his shots, and if someone leaves openings and walk onto shots regularly they can definitely be hurt by Mayweather, I think Mayweather hits harder than many believe he does (not saying hes a power puncher).

However, Canelo is not only significantly bigger than Mayweather, he is also strong and durable so I doubt Floyd stops him. I see Floyd pot shotting to a decision to be honest.
