I dont want to sound like im hating on Canelo but everybody's calling him the new cash cow. Hes a huge star no question but we both know this is just another way to discredit Floyd. I try to stay away from posting in Floyd threads because on this site your either a Floyd hater or a Flo-Mo. Theres no in between but I couldnt resist. One mans making 40 mil and the others making 12. And your calling the guy making 12 the cash cow? That doesnt pass the laugh test.

Let's look at it as just business.
De La Hoya is pushing Canelo hard from behind. If Canelo delivers (and there are solid reasons to believe he will), they will make a trilogy out of it.

where was floyd at 22? did he have a huge fan base or even a country backing him? better yet how many millions was floyd making at 22? did floyd ever have 40k+ people show up to see one of his fights even f it was free. lets not kid ourselfs man canelo role in this fight is big, and imho i belive is the reason why tickets sold fast.

That is such a lame argument. What difference does it matter where Floyd was at 22 because hes 36 and the highest paid athlete. When Canelo starts making 30+ mil per fight talk to me then.
