HBO is surviving off the fact they have more subscibers than Showtime than actually putting up better cards. The worst thing that can happen for HBO is that Rios beats Manny and bad after him there's no true PPV worthy fighters in there stable.

It's not a gurantee he would be as good as Manny or even Donaire I know thats what they are banking on. Chavez jr gets great ratings for being not that good so who knows. HBO for most fans just feels right since they have been producing the biggest fights for the last 20 years. Showtime is still in search of the right broadcasting formula.

I'm not suprised.....HBO stll got some good fights they can put on at LHW.....Clev-Frankenstein winner can fight the Bute-Pascal winner and then the winner from those fights can fight Adonis and the losers can fight each other as well...too bad they won't let the DEAN of the DIVISION in the party....**** HBO!!!

Who is that hurting in reality; while HBO best fight is doing a 1 and half city tour that nobody's covering; Showtime is on a 11 city tour with all the press in the world. That's why this got rejected they are acting like the the popular girl from high school nobody cares about anymore.

That's too bad, Hopkins-Stevenson is a good fight and will attract a lot of viewers. But why offer it to HBO when they have Showtime?
