What's funny is that Berto's next paycheck against Soto-Karass will probably be a little bit more than what it would take to make Hopkins-Stevenson.

WTF. I guess the Broner vs Malignaggi numbers were extremely low to have those Golden****** crawling back asking for a handout. I have lost all respect for Golden Boy Promotions as they are clearly a front for Al Haymon anyway, and is only a matter of time before Showtime gets tired of their antics as well or just continues to lose a ****load money.
broner's 2 fights are the most viewed fights on showtime and I think cable so far this year. check yahoo they did a report on it.

Lol me either bro!!! This fight would probably suck. Yeah, Stevenson just ko chad but that's not happening vs Hopkins.
I hope that the LHW division gets cleaned up by the young contenders, and then B-Hop fights the last man standing and retires.

GBP has acted like bully's in the sport of boxing and are hypocrites. They said Showtime wasn't interested in Hopkins/Kovalev because that serves their own self interest. If Showtime would buy the Murat fight, why wouldn't they buy Kovalev? Because GBP didn't want them to buy it. They think everyone is ****** but the only ones that look ****** are them. Of course, HBO isn't going to buy Hopkins/Stevenson and more power to them. Finally, someone with real power like HBO takes a stand against the bully GBP. And HBO does hold the real power, the all might dollar. Plus, rumor is Showtime's bankroll for all these GBP fights is running out. Schaefer calls Arum a liar every chance he gets but Schaefer talks out of both sides of his mouth every time he opens it up.

After approving Murat-Hopkins, why no outrage there?

I don't understand "promotional company" fanboys
No fanboyism going on lil man.

I actually missed the news that showtime rejected that fight, which I also think is a crap move. All I want is the best fights possible and for cable/ promotional companies to stop getting in the way of that.

This so called feud between GBP and HBO wont benefit either in the long run and especially not the fans.

HBO is surviving off the fact they have more subscibers than Showtime than actually putting up better cards. The worst thing that can happen for HBO is that Rios beats Manny and bad after him there's no true PPV worthy fighters in there stable.

They're banking on Showtime not being able to pay for all Golden Boy's fights, which will likely happen. This might be the first sign.

how is this possible with showtime being owned by CBS? they have enough money and make enough to have a $100 mil budget.
