why are you calling it a "failed negotiation"? either bob arum or manny pacquio decided not to fight floyd in dec 2009 over the PED testing. the negotiation was fine -it was the accepting that was a problem for manny and his team.

Yes we do. Because if you look at it rationally, Pac isn't even in the discussion for best of the era. Paper trinkets and hype machine aside, JMM and Pac were very much equals throughout their careers. Floyd is clearly the other top guy of the era. As it stands now, JMM has trumped Pac in their rivalry. Therefore we got our #1 v #2 of the era when Floyd fought JMM and we got a clear winner. We just didn't recognize it as such at the time. Just like we didn't recognize that RJ-B-Hop was 1 v 2 of their era when they fought.

Dude this is a simple point. Floyd faces world class guys at 16 > he never lasts to become what he's become. Fighting tough comp before you've matured physically and mentally puts wear on those tires, and risks early losses to guys who are many talent brackets below.

All I'm saying is that between the ages of 16 and his mid 30s, Pac progressed roughly 50lbs of the scale. And beween the ages of 16 and his mid 30s, Floyd did the same. Feel free to discept it anyway you want.

No matter what you post manny has more CW fights than floyd and won 2 of his titles in CW fights. No matter what floyd does EVERY title he's won has been at weight class max. you can't change that.

Hey Cris John won all his championship matches at division max and has 0 losses. Doesn't mean he fought the best competition in that championship weight class. There probably is a reason why the guy from Flyweight needed catchweights in his first welterweight and light middleweight fights. Moron.
