Floyd went out and made his own path, getting more money for himself and taking it away from the promoters. He fought in a style that preserved his talents rather than stand and **** which makes for better TV. He puts himself ahead of the sport and his well being over the sports well being. His attacks on his contemporaries have ranged from hysterically funny to dehumanizing. He makes people loathe him and then gives them ammunition to use against him. So its not surprising that people desperately want someone else to occupy the top spot in the sport-even if that fighter is inferior.

Sure there are a number of talented young fighters but none that will bring the internationally attention (and PPV numbers that come with it) outside of Manny.
