What's funnier, however, is that you use Maccarinelli as an example. Was he such a prized asset? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

We need to accept that Warren and Hearn aren't going to work together; they working with two different broadcasters.
Maccarinelli was a Welsh WBO World Champion. Sound familiar? He could have easily milked him for a few more defences and let Haye move up to Heavyweight as he planned to.

Hearn is the only one who is unwilling to work with Warren and most other promoters for that matter.

Didn't Hearn get an article removed from the sun about Warren's offer for Clev to fight Froch? He said it was an offer of fighting at 172, when it was really 174. He also said it was declined half an hour later, when it was really 24 hours. It also didn't mention that the fight had to be on BoxNation, when it's clear that Froch, they way way bigger draw, is not going to leave Sky, which is also a way way bigger platform.

I don't doubt that Warren makes some offers here and there. But they aren't realistic. For example, he's saying Nathan would fight at 168 - then offer it at 168 and offer to make it on Sky.

Now that would be a serious offer.
How can Warren offer it to be on Sky? His broadcaster is Boxnation. It's up to Hearn to counter offer if he wants it on Sky. But he doesn't want the fight. It doesn't really matter when he declined it. Whether it's at 172 as reported or 173 as offered, it was a lb off - probably cos it was written in stones/ounces in the article. Either way, Hearn says he wouldn't want any fight above 168 including Hopkins.

Cleverly is the only one saying 168 and of course he'd say that as a fighter but it would be as dumb as Dawson moving down.

Props Indeed to Frank 'n' Clev for making it.

I simply struggle to see Cleverly holding his own against Kovalev, in fact despite his lack of power, I'm fairly fond of Clev. Indeed it looks like I'm going to Cardiff to watch him getting knocked around like a rag doll.

Too big a step, I think.
