Get off Eddie Hearn's ****. This is boxing, promoters shouldn't have fanboys.

Of course, Warren doesn't have a reputation for protecting fighters...

There's actual evidence which shows Warren has been trying to secure a big fight for Cleverly for a while.
Warren has taken far more risks recently. Ever since he put Maccarinelli in with Haye actually. He doesn't have a monopoly in the UK any more like he did in the Hatton/Calzaghe days. And he doesn't have a cash cow to milk.
The threat from Hearn has also encouraged him to make better fights. Haye-Chisora was the biggest fight in the UK last year and once again, he made it knowing full well that there was a good chance his man would be KO'd.

What's funnier, however, is that you use Maccarinelli as an example. Was he such a prized asset? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
We need to accept that Warren and Hearn aren't going to work together; they working with two different broadcasters.Last edited by yoz; 06-27-2013, 01:50 AM.

Didn't Hearn get an article removed from the sun about Warren's offer for Clev to fight Froch? He said it was an offer of fighting at 172, when it was really 174. He also said it was declined half an hour later, when it was really 24 hours. It also didn't mention that the fight had to be on BoxNation, when it's clear that Froch, they way way bigger draw, is not going to leave Sky, which is also a way way bigger platform.
I don't doubt that Warren makes some offers here and there. But they aren't realistic. For example, he's saying Nathan would fight at 168 - then offer it at 168 and offer to make it on Sky.
Now that would be a serious offer.
