Didnt Gamboa get out of his contract with Top Rank, although he is signed with sms promotions which will have to work with Top Rank a lot

This guy's career is over anyways. I hope he gets his life sorted out, he was a hell of a warrior in that ring.

So is this a good thing? Didn't he fire his trainer too? Isn't he heading to prison? There are just so many question marks with this guy. I hope he can get back on his feet though.

I see Top Rank in Kirklands future. Considering that Al Haymon Promotions has most of the Best 154lbs it seems like a risky move for Kirkland to void his current contract. He must know something we do not or is just off his rocker. I hope the dude can make a comeback because he did bring some excitement in an otherwise average division. Now that theres serious talent in division, Kirkland can be a respectable gatekeeper keeping the pretenders from a title shot. Not disrespecting Kirkland in anyway by calling him a gatekeeper but that's how I see it.

And Donaire tried. I can't remember if Pac tried to leave, or just signed with both Top Rank and Golden Boy.
