or he could've said all that crap because Manny/margs beat cotto first so he had to find a way to minimize that and elevate cotto. what better way then saying Cotto is undefeated because manny drained him and margacheato cheated with plaster?

your a smart poster. at least hate intelligently.

Im sure the money had more to do with it. Cotto was so uninterested in catchweights that he fought Margarito at a catchweight in his previous fight. I don't get this excuse. It makes no sense.

That's your opinion and of course you would say that. Oscar was an older, slower and past his prime. Him being heavier wouldn't be such a bad for a younger, quicker Floyd.

Did I say before the Margarito fight Cotto wasn't interested in catchweights? no.

and why of course wwould I say that?the DLH that fought Mayorga and Mayweather was still plenty fast and strong.

You do know Canelo didn't start at JMW right?

Canelo is 22 years old. Cotto fought his best at 140 for the majority of his career.

Again, that doesn't excuse anything. I don't see the relevance of that to the discussion here. It's like you're trying to throw out **** and hope something sticks. I know why he said what he said....

It doesn't change the fact that he fought the fight at 154lbs because he felt Cotto wasn't a threat. Same reason why Pacquiao would fight Margarito at 150 but not Sergio Martinez.

Floyd obviously sees Canelo as a threat and thus the catchweight. Floyd and his fans would get more respect if they would just admit that and not dance around the issue. If Canelo was older, slower and past his prime - this fight would be at 154.

You don't really believe that. He had 2 good wins at 140. And one of them was a life and death struggle against Torres for christ sakes.

What I do know is that Canelo came in at 172 in his last fight against trout.

Asking a guy that comes in at 172 to drop down to 152 instead of 154 is a pretty huge ****ing deal.

If you can't understand that, then you just don't know **** about making weight. Floyd obviously knows a lot more about it than his fans.

if you think that justifies it so be it. Like I said to evol most posters shift because they like one fighter and hate the other. i'm sure you are already working on material to justify the rios ped testing hypocricy too.
