And he's going to win, tell face first brawlers to be more accurate and actually land on him then. He's the most watched fighter in the sport...theres a reason for it. He knows what he's doing and I honestly don't think some dudes on a boxing forum are going to make him change his mind...

I'm all for boxers being defensively sound. God knows I hate seeing Juanma's defenceless ass getting knocked the ring.

But no-one else has an issue in the highest paid star in the sport just outright telling us that he doesn't want to engage?

This is boxing, for ****s sake.

Don't give me that sweet science stuff. Can you imagine Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Frazier, Leonard, Duran telling us that they refuse to take punishment.

The Cotto fight really spooked Team Mayweather. I was looking forward to the Canelo fight immensely but it's going to be a pot-shot fest.

Say what you want about Broner but at least the kid wants to fight.

If everyone was as defensive minded as Floyd Mayweather, the sport really would be dead.
I respect your opinion but this sport is called BOXING not FIGHTING. I don't no if you ever Boxed before but the name of the game is to hit and not get hit

A simple jab will have yo neck and back hurting after a boxing fight, now think about taking flush power punches and body shots

isnt floyd himself the one sayin he wont ever satisfy his critics? and isnt floyd the one stuttering and letting ellerbe answer for him when asked about the cw for his fight with the ginger? sounds to me like he does pay attention to what the folks are saying. and one more thing, imho floyd never is or was the draw he claims to be.

Garcia, I agree with you. Honestly, so many people give Khan and Malignaggi grief for their Olympic style of boxing but yet when Floyd does it, it's a masterpiece. I constantly go on YouTube and watch Gotti-Ward, Sanchez-Gomez, Pacquiao-Marquez hell even Ortiz-Berto. All those fights are filled with action and drama. Floyd has no trademark fight.

Nothing wrong in what he said, only a moron would read negativity into that. You don't fight for 30 odd years as an amateur and professional boxer with over 100 fights combined without a degree of punishment on your body. I don't care how defensive genius or wizard you were suppose to be, you would still get touched. The difference is you need to make sure getting touched is minimal so you don't end up with a lot more difficulties in old age. If you have box even for a year as an amateur you would know exactly what a pro fighter with 15 years of fighting should be experiencing as they get older.
