Although Maidana has improved a lot under Garcia's wings he still lacks the speed and overall movement (head, feet, upper body) of Paulie. Paulie's activity and movement made it more difficult for Broner.

Maidana still throws wide punches at times and I think Broner would capitalize on that. I will be interesting to see how Broner will react if he gets caught by clean hard shot from Maidana - if Maidana can find him.

I also reckon Maidana is a little soft to the body. Amir Khan put him down by a body shot and Lopez was also able to hurt him badly with a body shot. If Broner works the body early he can eventually get a stoppage down the road.

It's hard to hit Broner cleanly with a body shot. The best weapon is to faint to the body and then go upstairs. Maidana doesn't throw multiple jabs like Paulie. He has to rely on pressure and just being busy.

A big difference between Broner and Floyd , Floyd never had boxers and trainers saying so and so is gunna knock him out , I don't think Broner will ever make a Mayweather .

You guys fail to understand that there can be improvements on broners defense. If that boy trains with any of the mayweather brothers his defensive skills will greatly improve and you will see a differnet fighter. I've seen many fighters come to the mayweather gym and leave improved defensive fighters.

i'm still trying to figure out which round lopez landed this monstrous body shot that people give him credit for. maidana was walking off a stiff leg which compromised him and lopez took advantage of it.

Broner will probably go down 2 '40, or even LW unless it's a guy he can beat, Maidana...his defense needs work, but he's no HOF'er yet...think back as far as you can or can read about @ any GREAT WW, Broner doesn't fit in...think vs SRR, SRL, Hearns, even Duran...

Maidana has the power, but not the craft to KO Broner
if he landed flush, Broner would probably go
but Maidana is just too damn sloppy for that to happen
Thurman at WW, Lucas at JWW, can see these guys stopping Broner
Maidana swings too wild and can't cope with footwork

Yep, Broner has god like footwork and movement. maidana gets knocked out in 1 round. Mismatch.

Not really, under garcia maidana has cleaned up his technique. He's straightened out his right hand, he still throws those overhand looping right hands but not nearly as much as he used to.
