  • Comments Thread For: Rios: Broner is Easy To Hit, Maidana Knocks Him Out!

Having all but announced himself as boxing’s torchbearer once Floyd Mayweather decides to make his exit from the sport, Adrien Broner is constantly going to be scrutinized for his actions inside of a prize ring.

So it’s not surprising that Broner is catching a little flack from his last performance this Saturday night, where he won a split-decision victory over a very determined Paulie Malignaggi inside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Despite Broner claiming a world title in a 3rd division at the age of 23 by securing the WBA welterweight strap, the fact that he wasn’t able to steamroll through Malignaggi is something that has caused his most ardent critics to speak out.

I don't care what people say about Rios, he's great for boxing. He talks **** but its all in good fun.

I used to think the same about Broner albeit whenever he tried to be funny he failed miserably, but the build up to the Paulie fight made me do a u-turn... Paulie was out talking him so he went way below the belt, and the PF interview was a joke especially after Paulie went to make up!!

I don't want to say that Paulie exposed him, I had the fight a draw, but I feel Broner should have been deducted more than a point. But I do feel that that a Matthysse, Alvarado, Rios, Thurman and Maidana would put a hurting on him.

Maybe Alvarado and Rios wouldn't get the win because they're a little slow on their feet, not that AB has shoen any great fleetness of foot, but I reckon that Broner would be there for the taking. Big punchers who constantly work the body will be poison to Broner.

It will never happen due to promotional BS, but Rios/Broner would be an interested match up. Much like Broner did not respect Pauli's power Rios will go in guns blazing. Not that Broner doesn't have decent power but Rios has taken big shots and kept on coming forward. Broner would have to be active for a full 12 to get that W.
Maybe after Pac destroys Rios Arum won't mind feeding him to a Golden Boy opponent.

Man this is weak... Maidana won't beat Broner, he's way too slow. matter of fact he's slower than paulie. Once Broner felt Maidan hit him he would start movin to avoid punches. He didn't against paulie because paulie hits like a b____ . Plus its gonna take someone with at least some boxing skills to beat Broner (crisp Jab, foot movement, etc...). I'd rather see Broner fight guerrero if he's staying at 147
