dont mean he lost but compubox needs to just stop the bs
When I was watching the fight with my dad he said at the end of the fight "Let's see how compubox tells that Paulie landed more punches ... Well, only if they're actually getting right" Of course that then compubox numbers showed up with some 47% accuracy BS by Broner.

u guys whine about compubox like its a fan doing it. its some neutral button pusher. i know a guy who does it. and its more than one person. can it be wrong? sure, but its not some conspiracy. btw i think it was right on the money. i think all of u need to learn what a scoring blow is. hitting arms and the back dont scor points glancing blows also dont usually score. i think u guys should try to talk to someone who does it. it may help u see how they do what they do

Who's talking about conspiracies? I'm talking about the system being wrong, not about some guy saying "Damn, I like Broner, let's give him more punches so that he looks good"

And no, I certainly don't think those numbers are accurate, especially not when you see a 47% accuracy by Broner. Broner landed some crisp punches but he certainly missed a lot. Most of the times when you see a boxer land above 45% he's actually beating the crap out of the other guy or he's in a war Rios-Alvarado style, which wasn't the case this time.

IMO both of them had around 25-30% accuracy, with Paulie landing more punches than Broner. And again, I'm not talking about blocked punches, but it's easy to see that Paulie was landing a lot of body punches especially during the first 4 or 5 rounds. Broner kept using his arms to cover his head but Paulie landed several shots to the liver and spleen. He also landed a decent amount of punches to the chest, which might not be very effective, but are still punches and should be counted as such.

see thats the issue. what u see and what u think should be counted as scoring usually isnt. and thats why compubox seems distorted at times. they are told to judge on "clean and effective" punches. i dunno what they see honestly but its telling that pretty much every reporter ringside saw exactly the same thing. im not gonna sit here and keep telling ppl they are wrong. i saw a different fight from most and what i saw was in line with the compubox stats. im a broner fan admittedly but i think its telling that most ringside saw the same thing. i just think flight like this one are hard for most to score.

body punches dont count when the other guy start swinging his elbow rowl

Compubox is virtually useless. It means nothing to the outcome of a fight, and only creates controversy. I'd just as soon see it disappear. Who would miss it?

I feel sometimes a fighter wins but tries to look a bit bad to give food to the haters to brag & keep watching, but that's just my 2 cents. If Broner would of ko Paulie we wldn't have like 30 threads on Broner, more like 5 saying he fought a old Paulie & this & that, but look at the interests to see Broner fight again it is crazy.

On phone sorry for the way I typed & mispell word's
Not to mention that, after this fight, Paulie just climbed in the Ring rankings...

I think the Networks see stats as part and parcel of sports broadcasting, that's the only reason it exists. Makes me laugh when Jim Lampley rolls out the compubox stats at the beginning of every round like it's the score from the previous round.
