Comments Thread For: Periban: Bika is Not The Champion, I Won This Fight

Sakio Bika won the WBC super-middleweight title when he heat Marco Antonio Periban in New York on Saturday night. Bika, born in Cameroon but fighting out of Australia, won the fight on a majority decision. Two judges scored it 116-112 and 115-113 and the third called it a 114-114 draw. It was Periban’s first defeat as a professional.

Bika, who failed in three previous attempts to win a “world” title, took the vacant WBC belt after 12 hard rounds at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, where Adrien Broner later beat Paulie Malignaggi in the main bout.

Periban is right about one thing... Bika is not champion but neither is Periban. They both suck and the fact they got a shot at a vacant title is disgusting.

Bika won by 2-3 points -- this was a winable fight for Periban who has some skills but is not a top level guy -- Periban needed to be busier and more aggressive -- and I mean in the ring, not with his mouth afterward....

Bika was planned to become fodder for the Ward's tune up fight.

Another Al Haymon fighter gets a gift again.

You heard Bika thanking Haymon after he sold his soul to him?

That fight was a draw or slightly in Peribans favor, julie lederman had the score on point 114-114 that wild punching from Bika and the only damage he could do was with his big cavenman head.

This was a robbery and an act of racism against Mexicans because there are alot of Mexican champs and wanted to help the «poor» black man. The fight was close but Periban won. He almost Koed Bika a couple of times.
