Broner needs to get it in his head that he is not Mayweather and will never be Floyd.
But he does seem to have one thing Floyd never had, punching power.
Broner needs to develop his own style in and out of the ring.

Yeah Broner has speed and pop, but his defense is lacking and his movement is poor. He has an incredibly wide stance and that lets people like lil Rees trouble him at times. Plus, the mouth open **** will cost him at some point.

I hope you are not taking a jab at me with that comment. I dont come on these forums and chirp and pretend to know what im talking about like half of the haters on here fronting like they are boxing analysts. Call my bluff if you want. I more than know my boxing.

If you cannot understand the comparison of Broner being like a (skilled, physically dominant) LeBron James against Mayweather being like a (skilled and cerebral master) Jordan than you have not studied Broner enough. Or is it that you are having trouble relating the two as they are completely different sports?

As for your LeBron comment, I think MJ is an old bitter man and I am a BIG Miami heat and LeBron fan. LBJ has been my favorite player since his Draft day, I just had a feeling about him after following his story coming from SVSM high where he chose to play for the "white" team as opposed to the "black" team in Akron because his best friend would not have made the black team and LBJ loyally wanted to play with his bestee. Check my Instagram if you think I'm joking (@trudoedotcom).

LeBron is deff going to outdo Jordan one day, already shattered many records and has his share of the glory in many of their stat comparisons as does Jordan. BUT where Jordan trumped LBJ is in the clutch and mentality categories. IF LBJ had the cerebral game and that edge that Jordan had and Kobe developed (via wanting to be like Jordan) he would have FOUR rings already. But he only has two as it took LeBron a few rough outings (Broner vs Ponce) to learn how to deal with the adversity, or the big stage or whatever. Jordan had more of an automatic clutch due to his mental strengths and was able to will himself to win where LeBron could not. Jordan went to finals 6 times and never lost, Bron lost his first 2, BUT i bet you LeBron will see MORE finals than 6 by the end of his career. Like Broner will have more impressive wins via KO than mayweather and may hold more titles when it's all said and done. Do you get my analagy now??

LeBron had to work on becoming as clutch as he showed us he was on Thursday scoring 37 with NO dunks, all jumpers except a few layups. THAT is Broner, he is uber talented and WILL be great but he still has to learn how to be great and that takes a full package, physically AND mentally. Adrien has the physical and is working on the mental like LBJ was prior to this his 2nd championship. Mayweather learned that young and has been on that undefeated champ path for years like Jordan was, Broner will take longer to show his greatness but when he does we will be comparing him (LBJ) to Mayweather (Jordan).

But what do i kno right... smh.

. He's fought no one dude. And he should have lost to Ponce DeLeon and Quintero.

Ask Corrales, N'dou, Gatti, Hernendaz, Hatton the list goes on and on. Mayweather most certainly had punching power, in the lower weight classes, as he got bigger his punches didn't hurt bigger fighters as they did the smaller one's but they hurt enough to keep his opponents honest. We don't know if Broner's punching power will go over into higher weight classes. I think it will, but to say that Floyd never had punching power is pure idiocy.

Broner shares a lot of stylistic qualities and P4P may be a better puncher that Floyd...however I think that's where the similarities end in the ring...

Floyd is smart, relaxed, poise during a rough scrap, knows how to handle himself when a little tired or hurt, has shown the ability to adjust and not just rely on speed, has great defense, etc...

We haven't seen any of that from Broner...yet...

So for now, let the comparisons simply be on the way they hold their arms and throw lead right hands...Mayweather's intangibles go much further than that...

That's why his opponents eventually get frustrated...because they thought that's all he's about...they thought they had him all figured out...

In reality, Floyd can take two punches and win a fight because of intelligent timing, relaxed poise and usage of those two punches and his defense

Oh and another little thing called hard work and dedication between fights

The big difference between Mayweather and Broner is that Mayweather's defence is very effective, Broners is as leaky as sieve.

Mayweather in the lower weight classes could crack.

Did it translate over to him moving up in weight, no, not as nearly as well as some of the guys that are considered the hardest punchers ever.

But to say he never had punching power is wrong.

Broner has not showed the ability as yet to be an elite "thinker" and that will seperate him from Mayweather in greatness UNLESS he can become more cerebral. He is the Lebron James to Mayweather's Michael Jordan. Broner has the physical skill set that if paired with the cerebral genius of a Jordan or Mayweather, would make him almost IMPOSSIBLE for anyone around his weight to beat. BUT Broner is more like LeBron, physically gifted beyond most (minus his height) but not as cerebral as say Kobe or MJ. So i'm not so convinced yet that he can be a great mind in the ring as much as I am convinced he will be a great showman and performer in it.

There are a few fighters that Broner's skill set alone wont allow him to beat, so when he does face them, I will be anxious to see if The Problem show can us that he is indeed able to adapt faster and adjust on the fly in fights where he is matched with a style difficult to his own.

Broner still taxes Malinaggi's ass tonight tho! Paulie is spent!
Adrien Broner is Lebron James? No.

Few things that I think made Broner look bad VS Rees.

Rees is a midget and ducked low as ****. Broner is so muscular and barely punches low.

Broner was showing off to the fans and got hit like an idiot.

Rees has no power so he didn't have respect.

He's 23, he has a lot to learn.
