This is one of the best matchups that can be made in Boxing. One guy throws a little more, the other guy hits a bit harder, both want to make a statement and the winner and maybe even the loser make a solid name for themselves. Stellar matchup of two unbeaten fighters with some solid skills. Props to Kovalev for taking the fight too because Cleverly is an equal threat, though I favor Kovalev due to physical strength and pressure.

To be fair, I don't think many people thought that Cleverly was the obstacle. It was Frank Warren.

Warren taking This is great from a boxing standpoint... I don't think it is on a business one though! Can't look past Kovalev, Cleverly has looked average against mediocre fighters!

Better matchup for kovalev this early in his career. He'll get experience and a title in the process. It would be clever for cleverly to vacate while he can.
