Don't care who Ward signs with, just as long as he fights more.

Ward desperate to fight someone for cash -- middleweights if possible.
The recent Kovalev fight seems to have made Ward change his mind about going up to LHW.

I don't think he was moving up regardless. He had been talking about Chavez Jr. months ago.

I wonder if Kovalev could make 168 or 170. It would be interesting to see Ward's response.

Ward IS a natural light heavyweight -- he said he would take a Froch fight for a big purse in the UK (as we all know). If not possible, Ward said he will move up.

Ward is pennyless right now -- he called even Floyd (not only Chavey Jr.)
(In fact Ward is very generous in calling smaller people).

Even if Ward would be the only fighter (to date) able to annihilate
Kovalev. But the Russian is too dangerous -- he needs to catch you in one round only in order to destroy you.

Iirc Ward's stance has been that he's not going to move up too early in his career and that he will only move up for the "right fight".

I doubt Ward is penniless, he received $1.5m for Dawson and doesn't appear to be a Broner-type fool with his earnings.

About moving up: as I said, Ward is a natural light weight, and quite a big one... In fact he moved down.

As about Ward's money: he earned almost nothing from the Super Six (which was a Showtime inside business).
From the $1.5 million in the Dawson fight Ward might have actually received about $300.000-400.000 (after taxes and his team payoff) -- which is nothing as compared to his #2 P4P status.
Hence my joke about Ward living on food stamps...
