Why does everyone keep equating the lack of punching power with someone's chin? Why do people think if someone hits harder they have a better chin? One has nothing to do with the other. Some of the hardest punchers out there had questionable chins, Wlad, Shavers, Juanma, Bute, etc. Some of the lightest hitting fighters had some great chins, Willie Pep and Paulie for example. So I have a question for everyone, Paulie has been stopped twice, both times on his feet via TKO. He has never been KOed. Pac has been stopped twice and flat out KOed. But Pac is seen to have an iron chin, but Paulie has a weak chin? Really? Hows that? It is all about people's perception that is all. I am not saying Paulie is going to win nor that he may not get KOed, sure he may. But just to assume on he wont last X amount of rounds and he is getting flattened etc. Just because he can't punch? A prime JWW destroyer version of Cotto broke Paulie's face and couldn't even stop him. Meh Broner I favor as well but it just amazes me that people always equate punching power with chin/toughness when it has no relation.

He is not the ticket at 147 now or after beating Pauli...he would be the ticket at 140 beating the best 140 pounder but he chose the weakest guy in 2 divisions....fact. And his fighting Pauli still does not compare to when Pac jumped 2 divisions to fight a guy in Oscar who was the heavy favorite.

I don't know if Broner loses this time, but he will in fact lose soon. The guy has zero class, thinks he's cleaver but of course isn't, and the best part is he gets hit alot. And I'll be first in line to laugh my butt off when he does hit the canvas. Need a good laugh anyway. Need more fighters who are humble, yet warriors. They are out there.

I think we are going to see a similar fight to last weekends Garcia/Juanma fight as well as the Maidana/Lopez fight where the underdog has some moments early but the talent gap becomes bigger and bigger as the fight goes on. Pauli's chance will be if he figures out how to time Broner early and takes away his strengths. I have Broner by TKO in the 9th....

              Paulie is right on this.

A prospect that has been set on the road to stardom, via good match-making and even a couple of gift decisions against limited opposition. Broner is a good fighter, that's about as far as it goes for me. I'm not a fan of guys who lack any type of class and who trash-talk despite being as dumb as a box of rocks.

a lot of posters are very confusing in this thread. On the one hand you say broner isn't that good, yet you criticize him for fighting paulie because he is "the weakest champion at 147".

You say he "ducked" 140 and won't fight the best at the weight but say it doesn't matter because he'd lose to them anyway becuse he sucks.

So if broner isn't that good and can't beat the top guys at 140, why do you have problem with him fighting paulie?

When you claim opponents are easy work, you should be willing to back it up.

Claiming the top fighters are easy work and then fighting duds instead isn't the way to go about things.

Are you speakong of him saying Lucas is easy work? Cause if you are well that was posted recently and hes fighting this weekend so let him get pass paulie first before you jump on the "Hes ducking" train. If he beats paulie that train will be packed so be patient
