Well we will see. By this time next year he should be in the mix at 147. However he is 30 already. Maybe he is done growing. Hell Floyds been at 147 going on 7 years now.

That's a problem for Lucas, BUT, Lucas has a good reach on him. Guys with long reaches can afford to be a bit smaller than their opponents.

I honestly dont consider a thurman win as a huge accolade at this point anyway. All he is right now is a puncher.
Awh come on, he's more than a puncher. Thurman isn't in love with his power, he's a patient stalker, he's got skills and can really ****! He's untested yet but he's a tremendous prospect!

And Broner didn't let Rees tag him, he had an average defence at best and got caught!

Thurman will go after Broner just as hard. Thurman is not afraid of any fighter at or near his weight. The bigger question would be if Broner beats light puncher Paulie will he fight hard hitting welterweights like Thurman and Maidana? Broner is more of an accurate fast puncher than a master boxer. He is not that hard to hit. I think Thurman is bigger than Broner and a harder puncher and I think he might take a punch better. I voted Thurman knocks Broner out.

Good answers, I'm going to wait until after Saturday to give a sure answer, but right now I'd probably lean towards Thurman at this weight.. Looks pretty solid at 147, I can see him taking Broner's punches and roughing him up on the inside. But, like I said.. I'll wait until after Saturday.

Don't get me wrong though, Broner definitely is the faster, more aggressive boxer.. If Thurman is even a bit off his game, I can see Broner overwhelming him. I just want to see him at 147 to give any solid predictions.

If I had to put money on it, I'd go with Thurman. Looked pretty solid out there tonight, he was losing the fight and adjusted to Chaves.. Took some bombs and looked ok, I honestly don't see Broner fending this big WW off of him.

Would be an interesting fight, and Broner is the full WBA Champ, right?

Thurman is his mandatory challenger, I think. Give a slight edge to Thurman for now.
