    Former heavyweight contender Lou Savarese compiled a record of 46-7 (38 KOs) in a career that spanned from 1989-2007, but he will start with a clean slate tonight as he makes his MMA debut at the Bayou City Events Center in Houston. Over the course of his career, Savarese battled the likes of George Foreman, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Tim Witherspoon and Buster Douglas, all of whom were past their primes.     A record of 1-7? Savarese better win lol

    To be honest though I like that he's not jumping into big competition right away and is taking the time to fight lower ranked opponents and get a feel of the sport, unlike Toney who stepped in with a future hall of famer lmao.

      Wow. It's hard to believe that anyone would spend their hard earned dollars on this fiasco of a fight card. Take your wife (girlfriend) and kids out to dinner and a movie. Money much better spent.

        I imagine there are a few more ex boxers that can't fight anymore to be drawn out of retirement for mma. The search goes on.
