And all I'm saying is that the ranking you're basing your argument on is a mere opinion. And fact is, its an opinion that's in the minority and doesn't reflect how that era of boxing will be viewed by the majority.

BTW, speaking of Ring magazine pre-Oscar. When they put in their championship policy back in 2002, they recognized 4 champions immediately. Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, and Kostya Tsyzu. Although I liked their policy and still do despite changes, IMO they lost a lil credibility even then recognizing RJ as light heavy champ when Darius Mickelcheski was the lineal champ. Which again points to the ratings simply being a couple guys' opinions, not anything concrete or official like you're making them out to be.

Sometimes one should also follow the business in this sport...
Who and where should Ward fight in order to earn a decent living from boxing?

Froch and Kessler allegedly got £2M each.
I think the £2 mill was just the fixed purse. As far as I'm aware they would get extra for PPV sales.

When they are ready to fight Kessler in Copenhagen then surely they'd be ready to fight Froch right?
Kessler is with Sauerland. I don't know who promotes Stieglitz but they seem to have a good relationship with Sauerland.

You said he could have had a big domestic fight instead of fighting Bute. Against whom? Groves?

He said he doesn't wanna rematch Ward because he brings little revenue. That doesn't fit with the picture of Froch you're trying to paint.

            Yes, they have got.
That is why Ward was dreaming about a Wembley stadium fight.

            • if donaire would only fight a rematch with riggo in the philippines would you same people agree with that?

it's absurd to think andre ward needs to go to the UK to fight froch. truth be told, it's a duck move by froch.

                I never mentioned Mosley.

How many beltless 34 yr olds coming off as loss would turn down a title shot against the #2 guy in their weightclass? Most fighters in that position would give their right arm for the opportunity.
No they wouldn't you dummy because another loss could end your career at the top level.

He took the Mack fight because Kessler wasn't ready for the rematch.

I will repeat as many times as necessary: Ward WANTS to travel to the UK, but he's asking for too much money (in Hearn's opinion)...

34 yr olds with wear and tear on their body aren't worried about protecting their career. They take whatever they can get because they only have a few yrs left at the top.

                    • So this isn't ducking? How does Froch get a pass for putting A REMATCH AGAINST A GUY HE JUST BEAT over a rematch against SOMEONE THAT BEAT HIM. He should be ridiculed for his position, but of course plenty of users here have their own agenda.
